Defining Principles we live by
The four prioritized Principles below were drafted in an effort to unify, inspire and engage all citizens we serve in Senate District 44.
1) Respect for Our Constitution: The Constitution of the Unites States of America is the framework for the greatest country in history. The freedom innate in our existence granted by God binds us to the principles written in our Constitution fought for by generations of Americans.
2) Personal Responsibility: We support the drive of individuals to live as they wish under law. Our freedoms exist for the betterment of ourselves and others. Government is not meant to be a charity. Therefore, charity is best left to private citizens and non-profit organizations. Our government needs to promote private charity without intervention.
3) Limited Government: Our government needs to encourage free markets by continually bringing taxes and government spending to their lowest, most efficient levels. Our government must also be accountable for the return on and effectiveness of all their expenses. Elected officials need to restrain governments hand before it becomes intrusive and hinders free markets.
4) Respect for Life: Quite simply put, we believe conception is the beginning of life, death is the end of life, and government needs to respect the freedoms of all individuals at all stages of life.
